*rofl* Here are two quotes--from two different games--that always make me ever so curious.
"How do you prove that we exist? Maybe we don't exist." --Vivi, from Final Fantasy IX "Whether we're real or not, let's not mope about it. You're pathetic." --Albel Nox, from Star Ocean: Til the Ends of Time

I agree that it tends to be true. Which is why I posted it, lol.
Here's another one, from one of David Eddings' books.
"It was the Gods who invented theft in the first place." Subject? Man stealing fire from the gods and the gods getting upset. Quote said by a goddess character, no less.

This one's morbid; if you don't like morbidness, skip to the next one. "A tisket, a tasket, a head in a basket. No matter how you try, it cannot answer the questions you ask it." --in David Weber and John Ringo's novel, We Few.
"I have eyes in the front of my head!" "What, so you can see me when I'm standing nose to nose with you?" --because sometimes my friends and I can't talk right to save our lives
"I'm the teacher. You're the student. I'm supposed to teach. You're supposed to sit there and look stupid." --Althalus, from David and Leigh Eddings' The Redemption of Althalus
The reason evil is always depicted as defeated by good is because there is such a thing as too much organization... Good isn't capable of in-depth organization, often tending to 'wing it' with chaos, and true to the nature of chaos, it always finds the one unexpected thing to overwhelm the opponent, evil. A little well-placed chaos triumphs every time. --? I don't know....
"Chibifried. It means I'm chibi-fying them and roasting them at the same time." --*explains* Well, I was thinking about art and then I got to thinking about writing, and somehow this came about.

All sorts of miscellaneous, odd, and disturbing quotes. I don't recall where most of them came from, though. Anyhow, lol, beware because I didn't go through and edit out the bad language. I doubt you had quite this many.... I still have more, too.
"Killing my father may have been a mistake," Stragen admitted. "He wasn't really a bad sort, and he did pay for my education, but I took offense at the way he treated my mother. She was an amiable young woman from a well-placed family who'd been put in my father's household as the companion of his ailing wife. The usual sort of thing happened, and I was the result. After my disgrace at court, my father decided to distance himself from me, so he sent my mother home to her family. She died not long afterward. I suppose I could justify my patricide by claiming that she died of a broken heart, but as a matter of fact, she choked to death on a fishbone. Anyway, I paid a short visit to my father's house, and his title is now vacant. My two half brothers were stupid enough to join in, and now all three of them share the same tomb. I rather imagine that my father regretted all the money he'd spent on my fencing lessons. The expression on his face while he was dying seemed to indicate that he was regretting something." The blonde man shrugged. "I was younger then. I'd probably do it differently now. There's not much profit in randomly rendering relatives down to dog meat, is there?"
"That depends on your definition of profit."
(skip one paragraph)
Sparhawk considered this complex man as he followed him below. Stragen's motives were clear, of course. His resentment and that towering hunger for revenge were completely understandable. What was unusual was his total lack of self-pity. Sparhawk found that he liked the man. He didn't trust him, of course--that would have been foolish--but he liked him nonetheless.
- p. 33 The Sapphire Rose
"...It's not quite enough to justify a declaration of war just yet."
"War?" Bevier exclaimed.
"Naturally." Ulath shrugged. "If Otha's been involving himself in the internal affairs of the western Elene kingdoms, that's cause enough to go east and do war upon him."
"I've always liked that expression," Kalten said. "'Do war.' It sounds so permanent--and so messy."
"We don't need justification if you really want to go destroy Zemoch, Ulath," Tynian said.
"We don't?"
"Nobody ever got around to drawing up a peace treaty after the Zemoch invasion five hundred years ago. Technically, we're still at war with Otha--aren't we, my Lord of Lenda?"
"Probably, but resuming hostilities after a five-hundred-year truce might be a little hard to justify."
"We've just been resting up, my Lord." Tynian shrugged. "I don't know about these other gentlemen, but I feel fairly well rested now."
- p. 76 The Sapphire Rose
The Death of the Necromancer quotes:
.... "This nonchalant attitude is beginning to wear."
"Would you prefer me to twitch hysterically?"
"If you could bring yourself to express such an honest and genuine sentiment as hysteria...."
-- p. 295
"I have a plan." This was true. "I just don't know whether it will actually work or not." This, unfortunately, was also true.
-- p. 322
.... You sound like Nicholas, she told herself. When did you become so cynical? Sometime after sorcerers started trying to kill me, she answered. Sometime after I met Nicholas.
-- p. 168
.... If this fails and I get us all arrested, I won't have to put a pistol to my head because Nicholas will kill me. And in all fairness I'll just have to let him.
-- p. 181
.... "Perhaps we can find another horror for you to fight at a more convenient time."
-- p. 183
Nicholas was too tired to curse Fate at the moment. He would have to remember to do it later.
-- p. 191
162 Ships of Air-- "The Valiardes did sort of start speaking to me for a while there, but Nicholas chased them off when he found out."
129 The War God's Own-- "It's not my fault if simply reflecting on my duties makes me sound virtuous."
326 The Sapphire Rose-- "I rather like you and your companions, you know--not enough to emulate your overwhelming nobility, of course, but I do like you."
"I like you, too, Stragen--not enough to trust you, of course, but well enough, I suppose."
73 Domes of Fire-- "Have we concluded all the necessary genuflections in courtesy's direction?" .... "Cultures vary, of course, but in Tamuli three-quarters of an hour is the customary amount of time one is expected to waste on polite trivialities."
"That seems about right to me, too." Stragen grinned. "If we overdo our homage to courtesy, she becomes a bit conceited and expects more and more ebeisance every time."
"....I'm in trouble." He looked around. "I pause for the customary gasps of surprise while you try to adjust your thinking to accept the notion that anyone could possibly find any fault in so witty and charming a fellow as I."
"I think I'm going to like him," Stragen murmured.
"You would," Ulath grunted.
84 Paths Not Taken-- "Appalling fellow. I wouldn't piss down his throat if his heart was on fire."
85 Paths Not Taken-- "Sometimes I think the dinosaurs died out just to spite me."
109 Paths Not Taken-- .... "This place is bound to be packed with all kinds of people you detest the most. I'm sure you'll find someone worth upsetting in some thoroughly appalling and vindictive way."
60 The Moon's Shadow (Catherine Asaro) -- "Shall we spend eternity in a hell of our ancestors' making? At the least, we should make our own hells."
100-101 Deathstalker Destiny-- "We're getting our asses kicked," said Ruby. "We're outnumbered, outgunned, and using outdated tactics. Either we get our act together soon, or the whole damned human Empire will be nothing more than a footnote in Someone Else's history books."
"Diplomatic as ever, Ruby," murmured Random. "Though essentially accurate. Gutman; we can't face this many enemies on so many scattered fronts. We're potentially a match for any one of our enemies, maybe even including Shub, but dispersed as we are we're too ineffective to achieve any real victories. Our only real hope is to get our enemies fighting each other...."
"We're working on it," said Gutman. "In the meantime, however, we need a secret weapon. Something powerful enough to reverse our losses and buy us valuable time to work out new tactics."
"You're talking about the Darkvoid Device," said Random coldly. "And the answer's still no. Some cures are worse than the disease."
"If you'd allow me to finish, Sir Random, I was about to say we need you and Ruby Journey. Your Maze powers have so far proved superior to everything that's been thrown at you. So; if you will agree to fight on the front lines, as Humanity's defenders, Parliament is prepared to offer you both official Pardons for the crimes and atrocities you perpetuated on the planet Loki, against the rightly appointed government there."
"I gave all the orders," said Random. "The responsibility is all mine. But since I've done nothing wrong, your offer of a Pardon is basically irrelevant. I'm proud of what I did on Loki. Still, much as I hate to agree with you on anything, you're right on one thing. We are needed. We might just be able to tip the balance. And with Owen and Hazel gone, we're the last of the Maze people. We have a duty to use our powers in the defense of humanity."
"Hold everything," said Ruby in an aside, "what's all this i/we\i stuff? I've never admitted to a single obligation in my whole life, and I'm not about to start now."
"You mean you don't want to fight the bad guys?" Random asked, turning to her.
"Of course I want to fight! I always want to fight! I just like to be asked, that's all."
"I'll ask you later. Over several large drinks. For now just follow my lead, nod and smile in the right places, and concentrate on planning some really nasty tactics we can use against the bad guys, while I deal with Gutman."
"Why can't I deal with Gutman?"
"Because you'd lose your temper in under two minutes and kill him horribly."
"Good point."
426-427 Deathstalker Legacy-- ...."Lewis is a Deathstalker, and damned important." He made a long gurgling sound, and spat something juicy on the floor. "Lewis save Empire, and maybe Humanity too. Seen it in stars, and entrails too. Poor goat. Lewis is Deathstalker, like ancestor. I liked Owen. You'll like him too, Lewis; when you get to meet him."
"Doesn't seem likely," said Lewis. He winced as Jesamine tightened a tourniquet near the top of his left arm, to stop the flow of blood. "The AIs told me...that Owen was dead, long ago."
"Oh he was. Saw him die, in Mistport. Very sad. But that was in past. In future, you and he will meet, and work together. I have seen it. Future is just like past, only in reverse. I met Owen in future; he gave me ring, to give to you now. I came back, to give it to you."
Everyone looked at him for a long moment. Lewis recovered first, perhaps because he was too tired and too hurt to give a damn. "I'm definitely going to meet the blessed Owen? Alive and in the flesh, in the future?"
"Oh yes," said Vaughn. "Owen's coming back. Official. You heard it here first!"
"What the hell," said Lewis. "You're supposed to be dead, and you're here. So why not Owen?"
"Death is overrated," said Vaughn. "I can't die, not until my purpose is done. Much like Owen, in fact. Destiny's a real bitch, sometimes."
"Fascinating as all this undoubtedly is," Chevron said heavily, "we can't stand around here chatting all night. More guards are on their way, and there's a very real chance Lewis could bleed to death."
"Knew I forgot something," said Vaughn.
A gray hand with fingers missing emerged from out of Vaughn's gray sleeve, and gripped Lewis firmly by the wrist. A sudden shock went right through him, and he cried out, though he wasn't sure whether what he felt was pain or not. And suddenly he was strong again, breathing easily, his head clear and all his wounds closed. Nothing was bleeding anymore, and he didn't need the wall to hold him up. He looked open-mouthed at Vaughn.
i/"How the hell did you do that?"\i
"Sorcerer. Told you. Tell everyone, but no one listens. Maybe I should have cards made out. Buy one spell, get one free."
470 Deathstalker Legacy-- "...it doesn't matter a damn who's fastest, or strongest, or more experienced. Or who could afford to spend the most on personal trainers...What matters is passion, commitment, and a faith in what you're fighting for."
15 Deathstalker Return-- "We left the Durandal of our own free will," said Rose Constantine. "Brett for his reasons, and I...because Finn wasn't worthy of me. He had ambition, but no taste. For him, killing was just killing. I expect a much higher quality of murder with you, Sir Deathstalker. With you, I confidentally expect death-defying schemes, overwhelming odds and suicide missions, and all the other things that make life worth living. The killing's always good around a Deathstalker. You draw it to you. It is your destiny. Just lead me to the slaughter and turn me loose upon your enemies. It is all I ask of you."
33 Deathstalker Return-- I want to go home, Lewis thought miserably. I want to go back to when my life made sense, and I wasn't surrounded by crazy people.
43 Deathstalker Return-- "This whole place is quiet as a tomb, and I do wish I hadn't said that."
47 Deathstalker Return-- "Hi. I'm Lewis Deathstalker. Nice moves. Can we please have our psychopath back? She's impulsive and annoying, and has several appalling personal habits that you really don't want to know about, but she has a certain sentimental value. If you let her up, I'm pretty sure I can guarantee she won't try that again. Or anything else, until she can get her eyeballs uncrossed."
55 Deathstalker Return-- "Well, that was interesting. Short, insulting, and decidedly ominous, but interesting."
68 Deathstalker Return-- Finn Durandal sent an army to Unseeli. Religious fanatics, Pure Humanity to a man, trained soldiers. And in the end, they never stood a chance, because the Ashrai weren't interested in accepting surrender either. Men had come to Unseeli with death on their minds, and that was what they found.
251 Deathstalker Return-- .... "It's going to be danger and excitement and all the monsters we can kill. Who could ask for more? It's going to be fun, fun, fun."
289 Deathstalker Return-- ".... If you have and more thoughts like that, feel free to keep them to yourself."
369 Deathstalker Return-- "Look," Brett said abruptly, "can I just point out that it's still not too late for us all to have a collective rush of sanity to the head, and go somewhere else?"
373 Deathstalker Return-- "....Things are never so bad that you can't come up with an even worse alternative."
381 Deathstalker Return-- "You know, if you put a little effort into it, I'm sure you could be really depressing," said Jesamine.
"There's no sign of violence," said Rose. "No bodies, no signs of destruction."
401 Deathstalker Return-- "....Some days I'd like to take your entire race and give it a good slap round the back of the head."
458 Deathstalker Return-- ...."If nothing else, I'm interested in the caliber of this new time's enemies."
458 Deathstalker Return-- "...whilst I've never believed in running from a fight, only a fool takes on suicidal odds."
54 The War God's Own-- "One more word--one more!--and I'll crack your skull this minute!"
264 Ships of Air-- "A body would have been nice."
71 Gate of the Gods-- "Nicholas likes back alleys."
225 The Sapphire Rose-- "I understand that congratulations are in order, my friend, but I don't know that I'd take off my armor until you get to know her better."
76 Domes of Fire-- "Our Holy Mother reels from crisis to crisis like a drunken sailor."
221 Gate of the Gods-- The man brings new meaning to the word odious. And also the word obvious, for that matter.
331 The Sapphire Rose-- "You don't make much profit swindling frogs."
