I have just learned that Advent Children on Blu-Ray will be released on June 2nd in North America instead of June 7th! *takes deep breath* Again, how reliable this information is is undetermined, but just the prospect is a lot of fun to play with. *bounces in chair*
As I heard, it will be labeled "Advent Children Complete" and although the North American version won't have a playable demo of FFXIII (lucky Japanese people...) it will include a new trailor. *bites lower lip*
Aside from that, I read: "It has also been reported that the film will feature a 20-minute long extra movie on the disc which is an anime version of the "Case of Denzel" chapter featured in the 'On the Way to a Smile' novella." This confirms Klik's suspicions that it will be, in fact, an additional feature rather than being incoroprated into the movie. *shakes violently*
The Europe release date is set at June 10th (for the time being) and it gives me great hope that this information is accurate since the release dates were pushed forward instead of back. Anyone waiting for the DVD version of AC knows that Square Enix 'dilly-dallys' when it comes to giving us English-speaking folks what we want, but it looks like we can be happy instead of disappointed.
*explodes*
OMG!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!
*runs around in circles into a wall*

Holy mother of all that is good and holy in this entire universe... To say Advent Children (on DVD) is amazing is a fairly accurate review but it doesn't hold a flame to the movie on Blu-Ray with all of the extras added in. The picture was so damn incredible; you can actually see dust particles in the air in Helin and in the church. I was like... whoa man... Okay - Angel's notes on the movie! We were right in thinking that 'On The Way To A Smile' is added as a special feature, but it is not the CG version Klik shared with us from YouTube. The episode is an animated one about a half and hour long and really clears up Denzel's past for those of us who were like "Where did this kid come from?" The CG shots we saw are integrated into the movie. I found the movie really focused on Denzel a little more than before and his relationship with Cloud. It was really sweet. The Reno scene when he's chatting with Rude in Helin was... HOT! I mean, the picture I posted for Candi is really hot, but in my opinion that was the least hottest part of Reno during that scene. This guy is adorable in this movie and they really made him a lot funnier. OMG! I almost died! Okay, when I wrote 'Minor Nuisances' I added the word "thunk", as in Zack saying: "I'm getting naked for another guy; who would have thunk it" and this reviewer actually tried to correct me in saying that 'thunk' isn't the past term for think - like I'm some sort of idiot. It's a slang term, for Shiva's sake! Anyhow, my point, Reno says it in this scene as well and I almost freaked out entirely! ;D ;DI was so excited and I'd love to shove that into that reviewer's face. *skips around happily* During the fight with Bahamut, Cloud's entrance is a little different and SOOO much better. When Tifa's about to get killed he has these flashbacks, one includes Aerith about to become souvlaki by Sephiroth *snickers* and the other is Zack, preparing for battle against the army that will eventually take him down (new scene, not from Crisis Core). I wanted to cry, like, "No, Zack! Don't!" Talk about an adrenaline rush! Extended chase scene, Turks and Cloud vs. Kadaj and jackasses; once again, I must point out that Reno is absolutely adorable in this scene. I wanted to pinch his cheeks (or something or his ). I got a laugh when Loz was all like "Bang ba-ba-ba-ba-bang! Yeah!" when shooting at the helicopter. It was so much fun to watch! And of course the inevitable fight with Sephiroth. Jay-zus - Cloud really gets his ass kicked by Sephiroth and becomes this big bloody mess. In a way I'm grateful that Klik prepared me for the Zack appearance because I would have cried like a big baby. *sigh* So emotional... All in all, this movie has really outdone itself in DVD form and the Blu-Ray copy is so worth the money. I'm so hyped up right now and that's not a good thing seeing how I told myself I'd sit down and get some writing done today. We'll see how that goes. Anyone else who has seen it yet? Talk to me!!!

Hi
I still can't believe I have to wait another month to get an English version of this film, but at least I have seen a dubed copy so can chat about it with you.
The scenes you described were ones I also enjoyed, but because I didn't want to ruin anything for you I tried not to say too much before you saw it.
I also liked the extra scenes they added and did you get what I meant about the chat Cloud had with Rufus being differnet. I mean not that the point wasn't made but how the wording was new and the things they talked about were slightly ... well differnet.
Also how kick arse was it the way Cloud threw his sword to protect Denzel and then cut his way through the falling debries to rescue Tifa, so amazing.
I have to admit though that the bit with Loz going bang-bang-bang made me cringe, it was funny but also made him seem really childish which he didn't before. The extra bits with Reno and Rude in the chase scene were great and I loved how it all looked. Yay for CGI ;D
I knew that they were going to do the Denzel thing as an animated bonus feature but didn't realise it would be so long. I honestly thought it would be a 5 - 10 minute thing, so the fact it's longer makes me very happy. That plus the added scenes with him in the film help to make his part in their lives more understanable, which the previous DVD version didn't quite manage to do.
Chat more about it soon ;D
