The first copy of FFVII that I ever owned, I got for my birthday from my step dad, although I'd intended to buy it with birthday money from other family members. He insisted, lol, and who was I to object?
Turned out that our whole family got into the game so bad that my brothers would break into my locked room while I was gone if our parents were asleep and they wanted to play it. And then when the twins (read: irresponsible brats) left one of the discs on the floor and our mom stepped on it, my step dad couldn't remember that it had been MY game, so he bought a replacement for the FAMILY (ticked me off majorly) when my brothers said it was a family game. (That...ticked me off even more. They lied because I hadn't wanted my game broken like they'd been responsible for my other games breaking, and then when it broke suddenly the game was supposedly not mine any more. I was...rather livid for a long time over that.) And then the twins got the replacement copy broke (Lol, I'd have been amused 'cause it hadn't even been a year, 'cept I like the game too) and for some reason it was the same d*** disc, and it took a lot longer for that to get replaced, and.... Somehow the next one lost a disc in the disaster my bros called a room, which is dumb 'cause common sense says keep all the discs in the same area, but I guess there was some miscommunication between sense and brain, and then THAT disc wound up stepped on, and we went without FFVII for several years.
And then my bro Luki discovered one of his friends was willing to sell his copy of the game for the price he'd originally paid for it, and I bought a good copy of FFVII for $20. (He couldn't buy it 'cause he had no job and wasn't doing chores, so he didn't have an allowance.)
I have since discovered that several of my friends are FFVII fanatics like me, and gotten at least one more friend hooked, and then my bf tried it and was hooked, and his mom wants to try it so I'll see if I can get her hooked, and....
It's contagious! XD
Am I the only one who thinks so?
