Makes me miss my kitteh. He's home alone today because I'm puppy-sitting for someone. I've never been a cat person until my neighbours found a teeny tiny black cat in the garage. They were going to give him to the Humane Society but I ended up taking him home first. He's a God-send and since I've fallen more and more in love with cats. His name is Puck, named after the character in Shakespeare's 'Mid-Summer Nights Dream'. I heart Puck.

Then at least you don't tend to get clawed by them. Or bit. I live with three now. One of them has decided that my bed is his--and is trying his claws on an Alaskan throw my aunt sent me. I'm NOT happy about the fact. Which is why, if he goes for it again tonight, it will be stored away until winter (or until we find a way to keep the room cool without the AC's help.

Wow, guys... I can take the picture down, if you want. I thought I'd get at least one "aww". I thought there were cat lovers on here seeing the reaction to the comic. That's the only reason why I posted Puck's picture. My friend is allergic to cats and he stuffs right up when he comes over. Poufy red eyes, runny nose, nasally voice... I feel bad sometimes.

Lol. I think we all have our issues. Me, I get mobbed by whatever pets are around. Which can get interesting. Dog noses in my face, cat fur in my mouth... Yeah. There are downsides to being an animal person. But I wouldn't trade it for anything, because I really AM an animal person.

Lol. Me, I'm the kind of person who prefers larger animals--medium to large size dogs, mountain lions, wolves... etc. I still like cats, but most of the cats I've known are uber standoffish, which can get annoying. Or they're too demanding. And, honestly, when it comes to my pets, I like an animal that can hold its own, one that I don't have to hold back all the time with. Of course, I grew up with a blue heeler, and those dogs can DEFINITELY hold their own. The breed is meant to heard cattle, after all. The downside to us having that specific breed when I was younger was that I was the only female in my family who could hold on to him when he wanted free--and that was only because I was both fast and had the strength of my dad's side. But I don't mind cats and smaller dogs, or whatever--I just wouldn't have most as pets of my own. I don't like having to always watch where I step to make sure I'm not going to step on an animal. Y'know?
