Heh, pretty much. There's not much difference between them, excepting sociology focuses more on the psychology of the people as a group.

yeah, individuals are influenced by there groups anyway but if you take them out of the group mostly they revert to who they are

Yup. Took four years of German and still occasionally speak it with my family, even though none of us is German but my uncle, who lives in Alaska. Of course, if you wanted to emphasize your agreement, you could say, "Ich stimme dir zu!" It means, "I agree with you on that!" Arg. And I can't put the umlauts on here, so some things just don't translate well.... But seriously, I do agree that individuals can be influenced by groups--not that they always are. *is rather infamous among her group for doing her own thing at both opportune and inopportune moments* *shrug* What can I say? It meant they listened a little closer to me when it was needed, so it's not like the...group personality, for lack of a better word...was ENTIRELY a bad thing. Just sometimes a bit of a hassle.

group mind is always an intresting theory. People have suggested we are evolving to have a group mind so we all think the same and stuff

Oh, it happens. *is going through this with fullmoon* We don't even have to look at each other to know what the other is thinking most of the time! Drives her soon-to-be mother-in-law up the wall. It's great. Her bro is totally applauding me for bringing out her corrupted side again. (He couldn't do it, so he cheers me for doing it. Oh, man...fullmoon's fiancee's gonna be IN FOR IT when he gets back.... She's changed so much in the two weeks we've been hanging out at least two or three times a week.... *rofl*)

She's gone from semi-innocent to complete perv in less than two weeks. *rofl* Used to be her fiancee could make her blush; now it'll be her making more perverted comments than him, and he's in no way prepared for that. Not that I have a grudge against him. He's actually one of my best friends. But there are some things that he couldn't corrupt her to--like Mountain Dew. I got her to try some and she liked it, and now she's partially addicted to it. It's only been about two weeks NOW since he's gone to basic. *told him he was an idiot for enlisting, since he's so much like Cuzosu* Me, I don't take orders well at all. I actually have three main responses: 1. Tell the person to go screw themselves 2. Go do the exact opposite 3. Go do something else entirely, which can be anything at all So...he's a little better at taking orders than I am. But he's still not great at it, and he's got temper issues too. *shakes head* Although, if you like irony...he's going through basic in Fort Knox, where my step dad took his.

Yeah. So fullmoon's fiancee is NOT happy right now, and will probably regret having gone and enlisted when he gets back after basic. Oh, and their kitten, Koga, will probably focus on attacking him over anyone else. *only has problems with the kitten attacking her when she's at the comp, where he seems to like attacking her feet with teeth and claws* They're training him to only go outside on a leash now, lol. Let me tell you, that first time, he was a MISERABLE kitten. Pitiful meows, lots of irate hissing, and acrobatics that sometimes turned out okay and sometimes made him smack his head against something. *winces in remembrance* Poor Koga....

Well, Koga is, if not the cat I live with. Koga, fullmoon and I decided, apart from being rather gender prejudiced, is also biased with good and evil. Fullmoon and I, being more evil than her soon-to-be mother-in-law, get attacked more often. Her fiancee, being male, gets attacked even more often. *finds this hilarious* But the cat I live with now, she's just a nice old cat, only claws people by accident when she's trying to get someone to pet her. And my old cat BC, as long as you put him down when he wanted down, he'd put up with being petted, hauled around, and generally mauled by children. And he was the dominant cat in the neighborhood.
