Realized we didn't really have a place for the peaceful, odd, or puzzling pics. Pics of people, places, critters, signs and whatnot allowed as well. Here's one that only one person I've showed it to has been able to figure out what it's a pic of. It's a pic my dad took, and my grandpa couldn't see the subject--he was right behind him--until the film was developed and my dad pointed it out to him. Attachments:

Hee hee hee, not quite. Okay, for the sake of everyone else (and just so everyone knows, lol)... In the center of the pic, nose by the third stick from the rock, is a young porcupine. Yes, my dad has sharp eyesight.

This is one of my favorite landscape pics. It's so relaxing to me--maybe because I'm a winter child, and not only is winter more tolerable to me than summer, but I come from a family that hunts every year. Not so much because we like to kill animals (that's not the point for us) as because we want to not have to be other than ourselves for a bit, and to see the animals and scenery. Mountain surroundings always relax me better than almost anything else. Attachments:

Lol, sounds like a plan. If it weren't for the heat here in the valley where I live, I'd love it year round. Unfortunately it's a desert area in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. But since there are mountains on all four sides, I do fine most of the time. Seriously, people here orient themselves by the mountains half the time. Bookcliffs, Baxter, Mesa, and Monument. It's neat. I live in a little (kinda) valley with the Grand Mesa on one side, the Colorado National Monument on another, and two other mountains on the remaining sides. 'course I don't know many people who call Baxter by its name, or even know the name itself, for that matter. Most people here only recognize it as Douglass Pass, which leads to Utah. Tch. It's 'cause most of the people who live here now are either Mexican or moved here from California.... Friggin' interlopers.
