Guys... I'm so depressed... I used to draw a lot. A lot, a lot. I haven't done too much lately and yesterday I got the itch, so I tried my hand at sketching again. I totally forgot how to sketch! I pulled out some of my previous work and tried to recreate it, but I just couldn't do it. Admittedly, I gave up much too soon and I should have stuck with it, but I miss being able to sit down and pop out a nice piece in a couple of hours. I have four sketch books now. Two I had previously, "Sketching Manga" and "Sketching Yaoi" and I just bought two more today, "Sketching Interaction" and "Sketching Props". I will practice lots and hopefully create nice things again. I just wish I could sink back into it... It's not at all like riding a bike... Hugs for Angel?

*hugs Angel* What? Hugs? What are you talking about? Lol. I kind of understand where you're coming from and kind of don't. This because, whether writing or drawing, I have never had much difficulty doing either after any period of time. If it's to do with pen or pencil and paper (or even comp and printer paper, lol) I just don't have problems with it. But I spent most of my childhood perfecting my art and my writing, and find anime/chibi drawings to be the ones that come easiest to me, while I don't really write things that aren't fiction. Well, probably that last is because I speak often enough about my life and the people I care about (or detest) so why would I write about it when I can interact with people about it? Seriously, I have been known to just take a picture (or a mental image or actual view) of a person and just chibify it. I hadn't chibified anything in years, and out of the blue I got the urge again while I was hanging out with friends. I chibi'd four of them in less than three days, although the guys took hours to do. One kept hiding under pillows and blankets (drew him eying a pillow and thinking, 'To hide or not to hide?') and the other had eyes that didn't like the chibi style. He got drawn playing the XBox. While he liked it, he said I should have drawn him while he was getting pwned on Oblivion. I declined. He was a pain enough in the first place. I think a good part of what makes a difference, though, is interest. If I'm not interested in something, I SUCK at it. I'm interested in my writing, which goes well. My artwork interests me, or I wouldn't draw it and DEFINITELY wouldn't keep it. (It doesn't help that I'm rather perfectionist-y about things like work and cleaning and all....) So anyhow, I hope you can get back into your artistic side again ASAP, and I'd love to see you post some art chibis here when you can. *hugs Angel again* Bless you. May chibi angels play muse and inspire you.

Sorry, forgot to add a pic to that. And now I can't find the chibis I was telling you I drew of my friends. They're on my MySpace page, but I keep most of my pics private. If you want to see those, PM me and I'll give you my email address so you can friend my MySpace profile. Meanwhile, here's one I did of me. The friends I chibi'd insisted that they wanted to see how well I could chibify myself, so I did it with three different expressions. One confused, one cheerful, one rather pleased to be mad. I think it's obvious which this one is, lol. *sudden thought* I haven't chibified myself with the new hairstyle yet. I'll have to do that.... Attachments:

Hehehe that's nice cuzosu!
*big hugs to Angel* I understand your problem. Msot of the time I can draw anything easily but sometimes I can't draw anything. I just have to wait a bit and it comes back as if nothing happened.
And now....bear hug!!!!!!!! Yaaayyyyy!
